So... s'nu?

Festival du Voyageur was this week at my school. I got to watch students try their luck with leg wrestling... then arm... then thumb. Meanwhile, the army of 6s went to Voyageur Park and spent a crazy cold day out and about.
The weather warmed up a lot today and should be nice this weekend. A freaking three-day week for the kids thanks to Louis Riel Day and then the inservice today. On the other hand, I got some work done without constant visits and the like. And then I had a later than usual lunch.
Just checking to confirm that I have not passed away into some boring seamless dream-world. On the other hand, I had a dream that I was hanging out with Applemask and we were talking about Threads. Yeah.. my obsession with that notorious movie continues. I think it's because I watched 'Countdown to Looking Glass' from beginning to end twice.
Speaking of Threads, should I ever go to Sheffield, I would try my luck with the tourism board and ask them if they have a Threads-themed walking tour. Yeah, it's been a long time since that movie scarred the world and most of the buildings have been pulled down (RIP those cooling towers!) but it's a dubious dream of mine. Even more; a perfect (also dubious) dream would be to have K. Meagher as tour guide. I am twisted, thank you for asking.
A lovely weekend beckons. The deep chill lifts for a few days so I will probably go for a bit of a walk. I will soon need a walker, for my 4th decade of life approaches with admirable tenacity. Nowhere near what this dude here's facing, thankfully.

Cans

Nothing like inclement weather and poor road conditions to make one do an inventory of one's canned goods. I consider myself lucky that I only had 3 cans of soup past their expiration dates. One of my cans was still good so I made lunch and will make dinner out of it. Chunky beef barley soup - smelled and tasted okay. Fills me up, anyway. While I'm here, I have to wonder about expiration dates on canned goods.

Once it's past the date it should be thrown out - better safe than sick - but how far past the date is it okay? I mean, once you get past the date the can's in a grey area and you're doubtless better off throwing it away; suppose it's all you have and you can't get to the store because of of poor road conditions? That or an ICBM came for a visit upwind and you're completely screwed anyway? Like the dude in 'The Day After' said, "Just get the canned goods!" I'm sure 2019 might have been okay but what about 2018? Too far past the date?

I was already stuck with a churning belly the other day as it is and I'd rather not go through that again. If you plan to go to McDonald's, DO NOT order the spicy chipotle seasoned fries! Anyway, I should go out and clear the snow from my car. Not planning to go anywhere but it's something to do, innit?

Okay. Here's a bit of Sims stuff.
